La Vida Locash is a young company driven by modern entrepreneurship that breaks new boundaries in sectors like the music industry, new media, events, marketing and TV. The company was founded in year 2002 and is currently based in Stockholm, Sweden.
A Modern Movement
La Vida Locash is a music company with the goal to distribute music in as many ways as possible. We are all about doing what the big players do - but with small resources.
We think music is at its best when it surprises you instead of scratching your back and whispering "I love you" in your ear. We believe that music has the great power of affecting people without them knowing exactly what it is, like when a brand new and unheard tune makes the dance-floor go crazy. That is partially why we love modern music, because it moves you - in more than one way. And that is the music we want to give you.
In a time when the music industry lives its own hectic and stressful life, La Vida Locash finds it more important than ever to work with music in a thoughtful and innovating way. That is why La Vida Locash does not just release music - we develop artists.

For us the process of developing artists from scratch to international quality is the main goal. You could say that the function of the label is to play as big role as possible in every step of the making, so that we can reach the limit together.
Background
La Vida Locash is run by Tobias Hansson a.k.a. Babyman (CEO/Label Manager) and Markus Wedenborn (Creative Manager).
La Vida Locash started out as a small bar-club in stockholm 2002. The club featured early bookings of nowadays more established live acts like Marit Bergman, Kashal-Tee and Lo-Fi-Fnk. After the first official live apperance by Lo-Fi-Fnk, Babyman decided he wanted to release their first EP (>>We Is<<, 2002). The same year it was released in a very limited edition, but still with success over expectations.
2005 was a great year for La Vida Locash. Legendary clubnights in Malmö & Stockholm, a very successful first release (Lo-Fi-Fnk, >>(...And the JFG?)<<) and a new signing (Kocky), it all took off for real.
2006 - Albumdebut and singles by Lo-Fi-Fnk, a new club in Stockholm, the launching of Locash-TV, The radioshow "Radio Locash" hits the web.
Crowned as "Stockholm heroes" by Swedens biggest newspaper DN.
2007 - First clothing collection, album and singles by Kocky, a club tour (Sweden & Europe), a club summer (13 events in 3 months), debut on commercial TV (ZTV) with "Babyman's Birthday Bus".
